Three Wisdom Traditions
Ayurveda, psychology and yoga are three ancient wisdom traditions that can positively affect anxiety and depression. The words may be different but the learning objectives are the same in each of these.
Ayurveda and yoga make use of components of Cognitive Therapies as they both concentrate on the stories we tell ourselves. They give us tools that first enable awareness of thoughts and thought patterns, and then ways we can combat these patterns by use of daily routines, breathing practices and yoga asanas.
This unique program is designed to bring awareness to our thoughts and once aware , then the ability to change our thought patterns ( samskaras) .
Affective Memory massage
Affective memory massage works on specific points on the physical body which are areas in which we hold and trap emotions. On our face we hold onto emotions in an area called the mask. We hold onto our tears and those emotions associated with that event. We hold onto emotions which affect an area of the body called the armour.
This 1 hour session can be uncomfortable both emotionally and physically but also a release. Please contact the studio for more information and pricing.
